For far too long, our district has been misrepresented by politicians who claim to champion the people while actively contributing to the same issues that hold our communities back and delivering the same outcomes year after year.​

Durante demasiado tiempo, nuestro distrito ha sido  mal representado por políticos que dicen  defender al pueblo, mientras contribuyen activamente a los mismos problemas que frenan a  nuestras comunidades. Actualmente, nuestro distrito está representado por alguien  que habla el lenguaje del progreso, pero entrega los mismos resultados año tras año.

Instead of results, we get delays. Instead of urgency, we get excuses. Decisions affecting our neighborhoods are made by people who do not live with the consequences of those decisions.

En lugar de resultados, tenemos demoras. En lugar de urgencia, tenemos excusas. Las decisiones que afectan a nuestros vecindarios las toman personas que no viven con sus consecuencias.

We are flooded with performative programs and outside operators who have no long-term stake in our community, while the people who live here, raise families here, and run small businesses here are ignored.

Nuestro distrito se inunda de programas performativos y de operadores externos que no tienen un compromiso real a largo plazo con la comunidad, mientras se ignora a quienes viven aquí, crían a sus familias aquí y mantienen pequeños negocios aquí.

When a local library closes, or yet another shelter opens in the same neighborhood, residents are told it is their fault for not attending the right meeting or speaking up at the right time. That is not accountability. That is deflection.

Cuando cierra una biblioteca local o se abre otro albergue más en el mismo vecindario, a los residentes se les dice que es su culpa por no haber asistido a la reunión correcta o por no haber hablado en el momento adecuado. Eso no es rendición de cuentas. Eso es evasión de responsabilidad.

Representation should mean listening before acting, not lecturing after the fact. It should mean solving problems, not managing headlines.

La representación debería significar escuchar antes de actuar, no dar lecciones después de los hechos. Debería significar resolver problemas, no manejar titulares.

​

Our district deserves representation from an actual constituent, not a career politician. It deserves a leader who has led in real life, managed real systems, and understands how decisions affect people on the ground. Most of all, it deserves representation that makes our community stronger today than it was yesterday.

Nuestro distrito merece representación de un verdadero  residente, no de un político de carrera.Merece un líder que haya liderado en la vida real, que haya gestionado sistemas reales y que entienda cómo las decisiones afectan a la gente en el terreno. Y, sobre todo, merece una representación que haga a nuestra comunidad más fuerte hoy que ayer.​​​​
